Florence Almeda

A Birth, Postpartum & Abortion Doula

My name is Flo (she/her/hers) and I am a queer, Filipino American birth, postpartum & abortion doula that brings a meditative approach to the reproductive health space. I am currently a member of the NYC Doula Collective and the HOPE Doula Program.

As a descendent of a lineage of birthworkers in the Philippines, I am particularly passionate about serving BIPOC, Asian American, and queer clients. Outside of being a doula, I am a sound artist that believes in the power of music as medicine. In our sessions, we will holistically weave together sound, meditation, breathwork, and gentle somatic exercises to help tune into what feels most intuitive for your body.

With a background public health research, I am passionate about connecting my clients with evidence-based resources attuned to their cultures & identities. I lead with love in all that I do, and will honor your hopes for support with an open heart.

In my free time, I love listening to ambient music, dancing pole, and hanging out my partner & cat in our home in Bed-Stuy! If my practice feels aligned with your journey, feel free to book a time to chat here.
